Marty Bent [0:01] Aaron Aaron, you don't know this, but there's there's a few women in my life that are anticipating this conversation. Actually, my wife is one of them, my sister's another, and then our friend Kelly. Kelly, if you're listening out there, hello. I know you're you're waiting for this episode. We were actually talking about it last night in preparation. Aaron is an astrologer. She's been around Bitcoin for for many years now at this point. I

Erin Redwing [0:12] Mm-hmm.

Marty Bent [0:31] one of those males who has a wife and a sister who are deep into astrology and they're always talking about it with each other and then every once in a while my sister will send me a text like, This is you, I'm a Gemini. and I'm I've always been like arm's length, like, Yeah, this is cool and sort of describes me, but not gonna fall too deep down the astrology rabbit hole. But we met in Vegas and had a great conversation at a dinner with a couple of friends and we decided then that you were gonna come on the show and particularly at this point in time, 'cause there's a lot going on in your world. And so I guess starting it, what the hell is astrology? Why should anybody care? And even if you don't care, why should you listen to this episode?

Erin Redwing [1:16] Yeah, thanks for having me. I there I through a mutual friend I heard about you and he basically was like, if you meet Marty, you have to talk to him because you guys have so much in common and that was like exactly what happened. We just had such a great discussion. And yeah, I think some people are kind of put off by me being an astrologer. I actually call myself a Bitcoin astrologer. That's my Twitter bio. I just kind of like go for it just to get it out there right off the bat. but you know, a lot of people are Pretty ignorant about astrology.

Erin Redwing I say that as like a neutral term, not as a derisive term. they probably associate astrology with daily horoscopes in the newspaper. maybe they think astrology is witchcraft, like there's kind of different associations. And you know, astrology is thousands of years old. It's it's the first sort of attempt to understand universal human archetypes and the timing and cycles of the human experience. And so It makes sense if you think about being an ancient person looking up into the sky and seeing that a couple of the stars are moving around in cycles that are not quite predictable. Like they don't go in a straight line and the s the same rate all the time.

Erin Redwing Sometimes they move backwards, sometimes they conjunct with each other. that that the ancients would find this really fascinating and and try to interpret something that's coming from the heavens from it, right? And so that's what what puts astrology as kind of the precursor to a lot of the major religions is that it was sort of this myth making, sort of divination, making meaning of things, type of study, that that predated, you know, by thousands of years, many of the religions. And so astrology is like not antagonistic to religion. That's something I always like to say is like, you know, it's not witchcraft. all of the major religions are okay with astrology.

Erin Redwing They don't like if you start to like try to manipulate reality around your understanding of the stars, but it's one of these practices that just is kind of like Yeah, it's it's it's mythology and it's it's trying to make meaning of of experiences and of the timing of things. So I came to astrology through astronomy. I was like a hardcore materialist, atheist, like did not believe in anything woo-woo, and I was working in astronomy. And just because I was looking at planets all the time, that kind of awakened me to just feeling something about the planets. I just thought they were magical, I thought they were beautiful and

Erin Redwing [3:36] it also made it very easy for me to learn astrology very quickly because I already knew the motions of planetary objects. And so astrology was basically like I, you know, I had a conversation with someone who kind of sparked my interest, and then I went down the rabbit hole and that ended up becoming what I ended up being called to do. Like I don't work in astronomy anymore. I'm now like a full-time astrologer. so I know like I've done all of the mental sort of like this can't be real, this doesn't make any sense, you know, all of that I've already done to myself, and so I'm used to that from other people.

Erin Redwing But I think the thing that I just want to tell people, you know, in case they've already not clicked off by hearing that this is an astrology episode, is like you can allow things that you don't agree with or that you maybe don't think are real into your head. And then you can like let that flow out of you too. You know what I mean? Like you can you can let information or perspectives wash over you and you can take what you think is interesting or what sparks inspiration for you. And if there are things that you think are bullshit or that you don't agree with, you can just like let that go.

Erin Redwing You know? And so

Marty Bent [4:37] You can? You can? You don't have to take everything dead serious and and

Erin Redwing [4:42] instantly like, you know, put up a judgment. yeah, it's it's you know, I cause I think astrology basically opens you up to trying to see the world around you through a deep time perspective. You know, like some of the things we're gonna talk about today, like the astrology of July twenty twenty six, which is part of why we wanted to have this conversation now, is stuff that the last time this happened was six thousand years ago. So like, you know, astrologers are looking back six thousand years ago to try to get clues for what July twenty twenty six is gonna be like. So It's a cool lens and I just invite anyone who's watching that's maybe a little skeptical to just like see if you get anything interesting out of this. 'Cause I certainly did and that's why I've been doing it for eight years now.

Marty Bent [5:24] Yes, I mean so let's jump into it. Again, we we decided intentionally to wait a couple of months to record because of what's happening in July of twenty twenty six. And before we hit record, you said there's some setup we need to do what's already happened. And so I guess maybe start with the connection to six thousand years ago, what happened then, and then come back to today and what has happened recently and what May we be able to expect next month.

Erin Redwing [5:56] Totally. So you know, when you look at a lot of people know sun sign astrology, right? That's like you said you're a Gemini. It's it's just based on your birthday. And so the cycle of a sun sign a sun sign or sun cycle is one year. 'Cause that's how long it takes the earth to go around the sun. That's how long it takes the sun to go around the zodiac. so you know, this is kind of fun and interesting, but if you want to look at things like the rise and decline of civilizations or you know, philosophical movements or political movements or The evolution of technology, you really can't look at like a one-year cycle.

Erin Redwing You know, that's that's not long enough. But because we have the outer planets that are much further away, we get much longer cycles. And so for example, Pluto, which is the furthest out planet, I mean, you know, controversial planet ID, but we use Pluto as a planet in astrology, that takes 250 years to go the whole way around the sun. And so you get a 250-year cycle. Maybe some people are familiar with Ray Dalio's 250 year cycle of empire rise and decline. That's like a famous one that he talks about. That is the Pluto return cycle. That's like the the Uranus return cycle, which is 84 years, fourth turning is 80 years.

Erin Redwing Like we see these cycles kind of emerge in other schools of thought that are not necessarily rooted in astrology. But because we have all these other planets, we have these much longer term cycles that we can look at. And in addition to those individual planet cycles, We also have planets making aspects to each other. So you could imagine Pluto is here and then 180 degrees away is Jupiter. And so they're kind of at war with each other. There's like an opposition going between those two energies. So as astrologers, we look at those sort of you know, kind of geo geometric setups in order to figure out what's the dynamic of energies at play.

Erin Redwing And so 2026 is one of those years where many of the outer planets, so these are the long-term cycles, the energies that have to deal with civilization. And societal transformation, these planets are making incredible aspects to each other. It's literally like a perfect basket. J. Anderson. I highly recommend looking him up if you guys are interested in this kind of stuff. the basket of planets in July 2026, where you have Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, and Jupiter all forming exact alignments with each other at four degrees of their respective signs. And this is what I was saying.

Erin Redwing [8:14] Has not happened for 6,000 years. And you know, these are these are all of the outer planets interacting. So each of them deals with different themes. So Pluto deals with the transformation and death and rebirth of cycles. That's why there's the Empire Rise and Decline 250-year cycle that aligns with Pluto. Neptune deals with spiritual theses or ideas of what's possible. So for example, Neptune ends up having a lot of a lot to do with the Soviet Union or You know, ideas around like we can have like a technocratic civilization and we can organize society this way. Like whenever you get really crazy Neptunian alignments, you often see sort of utopian or idealistic ideas come in of what's possible for humanity.

Erin Redwing similarly, Uranus is like the rebel without a cause. There's all these, you know, I could keep going on and on, but basically we have all of these different energies that are interacting with each other and aligning perfectly in July of 2026. And historically, like a lot of the astrologers that were before this time period saw this as being a very, very positive time. For those people who are interested in like new age stuff, and they're like, we're at the dawning of the age of Aquarius, we're at the dawning of the new age. They saw 2026 as like the pre- and post moment for the age of Aquarius, for the dawning of this new age.

Erin Redwing And so they thought of it very positively. For those of us that are living in, you know, June 2026 or maybe early July 2026, depending on when you're listening to this, it doesn't necessarily feel that way. So I think there's kind of like an interesting disconnect. And I think that's something that's sort of like a part of this as well, is like, you know, you're living in heaven or in hell, depending on how you go with the flow and kind of surf the wave or fight the transition that's coming. And I don't say that to say like, you know, you should KYC to anthropic in order to use Fable V because that's the the way that things are going.

Erin Redwing Like there's there's some individual choice there. but you definitely see in people where, you know, there's a lot of people who don't want to admit that the future is happening or they think that they can prevent technology from advancing and they're just finding themselves on the losing side of the battle time and time again, and they're very, very fatalistic about.

Erin Redwing [10:31] The future, they don't want to have kids, you know, they don't want to be a part of this society. versus, you know, I look at Bitcoin as one of these things and the movement behind Bitcoin where, you know, Bitcoin is hope, right? Bitcoin is something that gave a lot of people a path forward to say, okay, maybe technology is not all bad. Maybe there are technological solutions that can emerge that can actually make the world better. Maybe we can have better money, a more fair value system than we've ever had in all of human history. So, you know, I think regardless of whether you're into astrology or not, you know that we're living through very transformative times.

Erin Redwing And the astrology indicates that July 2026 is one of these really big peak moments. If we go back 6,000 years, so we talked about that before, the last time that this happened, this was kind of the first time that we got cities forming, like very primitive urbanization. there's an astrologer, Dan Waits, who I also recommend if you're into technology astrology. He pointed out that the cylinder seal, which was this like archaeological artifact, was created around this time that was basically a ledger of verifying identity to transactions. So let's say that you were someone who sold a certain good in a marketplace. The cylinder seal was basically a way of saying, Yep, you're that person, and so you're selling this thing.

Erin Redwing So, you know, think about what we're going through right now. you know, central bank digital currencies, although really it's more just like privately owned stable coins seem to be doing it, KYC, digital identity, surveillance. These kind of themes are coming back around. So he kind of made that point around digital identity and surveillance that this might be a big part of it. And I I tend to agree with him there. another historical example is the Varna Necropolis, which is a bu burial site in present-day Bulgaria. this was the first record of highly wealth stratified society. So these burial sites that we find had some burial sites where people were adorned in tons of gold jewelry, you know, just over-the-top ostentatious kind of burial displays.

Erin Redwing And then some people were just sort of thrown in. And so this is kind of the first time that we start to see the emergence of, you know, think about this. This is 4300 BC. This is like a long, long time ago. This is the first time that we start to see the emergence of that sort of wealth stratification within a single society. So

Erin Redwing [12:52] These are the kind of themes, again, this is like so long ago. It's very, very difficult for us to pull out what might be happening in July. But basically, what we see is very extreme wealth stratification and wealth inequality and the need to verify yourself in order to transact. Those are like two very obvious things that come out and sort of surveillance in general. so, you know, I don't know, I'm sure you have like thoughts on these kind of themes, not from the astrol astrological perspective. So I'm curious. Like what you think of that, or if you see any of that emerging yourself.

Marty Bent [13:25] I mean, objectively the the first trillionaire was printed last week, so it's hard to deny that that that wealth stratification and dislocation exists. I mean, the K shaped economy has been a a theme on this show for well over a year now. And obviously digital ID is a is a battle that we're on the front lines of as well. I mean literally talked about it right before we hit record here.

Erin Redwing [13:51] Yeah, I mean, my my sort of take, I will see if Fable Five is back by the time this episode's posted. Like, who knows? But it kind of seems to me like they're trying to just do KYC, right? Isn't that like that's the whole narrative with the foreign nationals and everything? Is they're like, we have this valuable thing that you want, like we have super intelligence that you really want access to because you believe that it's your only path to escape the permanent underclass. And in order to get it, you have to play by our rules, you have to dox yourself, you have to KYC yourself. Like that that's to me seems like the obvious setup, but I don't know I don't know if that's what you guys talked about or if that's like where your mind's going.

Marty Bent [14:25] Yeah. I mean it seems I think Matt and I were discussing as like y you could see many many reasons for why this happened. Like could simply be the Department of War was pistanthropic because they didn't want to give the military kill decision using their models. You could see it being legitimate, like the models were legitimately trivially jailbroken and systemically put critical systems at systemic risk of vulnerability. You could see it being complete K fob. Maybe they're maybe they're in the background talking to each other like, hey anthropic, we really want this regulatory moat. We want to be one of the few players that's able to actually bring these models to market and then profit from them.

Marty Bent and so like if if you pull fable five and we get to the table and agree here's how we're gonna do things and you stamp a a licensing kycaml regime on top of on top of the industry, we're fine with that as long as we get to to ride ride the wave and profit from it. I could definitely see that being a scenario. And then on top of that too, like the earlier today, FinCEN and the Fed came out and basically first rule set coming forth from the Genius Act is you need to KYC AML all of your users. And that and that one was very predictable in the crypto space.

Marty Bent I mean Matt and I have been basically calling like saying like this is the end state, like they're centrally controlled. There's no reason to believe that the government will not bring the BSA KYC AML compliance rules to stablecoin. So and lo and behold it's happening and I think similarly with AI being naive to think it won't happen there.

Erin Redwing [16:16] Yeah, I mean, I think it seems like we're inevitably going towards a high surveillance state. and I think it's interesting, like the concerns on an individual level that you have about surveillance sort of vary person to person. I think a lot of times people just say like surveillance and like, that's so scary. I d I don't want to be watched. And it's like, well, why don't you want to be watched? Or what you what are the actual reasons? And a lot of people would say privacy, right? They want to have the the ability to kind of do whatever it is that they want to do without having to live in this like a perfect a hundred percent like social credit score type of situation where they get punished for not following the rules correctly.

Erin Redwing but I think another aspect of this that's maybe not quite surveillance, but I think is tied into it is narrative control. Like, you know, if you if you kind of have a sense of these are the groups of people that think X, Y, or Z and these are the things that are important to them and you know, for a lot of people who are using AI extensively, it's like an extension of their brain at this point. You know, they they can't do their job without it, or, or if they had to go back to doing their job without it, it would be kind of a relearning process.

Erin Redwing And that's just gonna get more and more cemented the further down this pipeline we go. Is I think you know, it's it's not so much that these AI companies or the government or like whoever is like the scary figure that you're afraid of surveilling you, Wants to punish you all the time and you know send you to jail for wrongthink or whatever, it's that it wants to be able to monitor the currents of thought and to be able to control the narrative. And I think something that's happened over you know the last 15 years or so is that the mainstream way of narrative control has completely fallen apart.

Erin Redwing For example, I just watched Disclosure Day, which is like the new Spielberg UFO movie. Have you have you seen it?

Marty Bent [18:06] No, it dropped a couple of days ago, didn't it?

Erin Redwing [18:08] Yeah, it was I it's honestly not like worth seeing in my opinion. It it was technically correct. Like the UFO alien stuff was very in line with what that community is saying. So that part was cool, but so much of the movie revolved around this idea of like, just get the disclosure stuff to the media and put it on the news station and everyone's gonna see it and they're all gonna believe it. And it's like, you know, if you saw CNN being like Aliens are real, you guys. Like, here's a real alien that we have a video of. You'd be like, I guess ratings were low.

Erin Redwing You know, I guess they needed to like do something to boost attention, right? Like the ability for mainstream media to control the narrative and to control what people know and what people think is completely falling apart. But I think AI basically creates a new way for that to happen, right? Like if you have these models that are allowed to give you certain answers and not allowed to give you other answers. That becomes the norm, you know? Like, for example, I've had the experience of using ChatGPT to talk through like random medical stuff. And now Chat GPT will be like, you should probably see a doctor.

Erin Redwing You should probably consult a lawyer. Like it's it's much more deferential to experts and credentialism than it used to be, even though it's like, you know, you're super intelligence, right? Like you could probably know a lot more than any human doctor or lawyer could tell me based on the information that I'm giving you. And so I think like, it's not just that we're getting KYC in this sort of like, they're gonna send me to jail for wrongthink type of way, but it's like you won't be able to tell what's true and they will sort of regain control over truth that they've started to sort of lose over the last couple decades of the internet emerging.

Erin Redwing again, this is why it's like funny to see that the New age astrologers of the 20th century looked at this time as being like, we're entering into a technological utopia. I mean, if you look at a lot of the early creators of the internet, like the the cypherpunk libertarians, right, they had a very different vision of what the internet could be. And so I do think there's this kind of duality, just to give a little bit of a positive spin here, like

Erin Redwing [20:23] Just because the major forces that be want you to behave a certain way does not mean that you have to just fall in line, right? Like there are things like Bitcoin. You can run your own sovereign AI model and get access to a version of this super intelligence without just being completely beholden to however they want to change it to control your narrative. Like there is an ability to have individual choice here, even if that's not what the majority of people on the planet are doing, if that makes sense. Like I think we've kind of seen this with Bitcoin even over the last couple of years is you know, a lot of people thought that the average person was gonna become orange pilled and they were all gonna realize the amazing sovereignty that Bitcoin could allow them.

Erin Redwing And, you know, they would totally change their life around Bitcoin values like a lot of Bitcoiners have done. But has that happened in this cycle? I mean, did you see that in the most recent bull run? Not at all, right? So I do think like. There's something to be said for the current of society going in a certain way and that being kind of apocalyptic or dystopic, but at the same time, there's never been more tools available to you to live a free-thinking, sovereign life. Like both of those things are happening concurrently. So I do feel like there's a duality aspect. And I think part of that is that a lot of this is Gemini influenced, actually, since you brought up being a Gemini.

Erin Redwing There's the the evil twin, right? Like Gemini is all about duality. Trump is a Gemini. He was born on an eclipse. Xi Jinping is a Gemini. I believe his birthday is a day after Trump's, not the same year, but they're both like I think June 14th and 15th Geminis. So we've got a lot of like this duality kind of with the good comes the bad. There's light and darkness and darkness and light to all of this. So just to kind of give a little bit of encouragement, like even though this is the way things are heading, it also forces you to think about your own individual setup.

Erin Redwing Like when Fable V was taken away. My household started looking into sovereign AI. What would it look like to run an AI ourselves? What would it look like to invest in a setup that actually gave us answers quick enough that it wasn't such a huge drawback compared to using ChatGPT and Claude? So, you know, just like Bitcoin tends to run up when the Fed is just like printing money and like completely debasing the dollar, it's like sometimes you have to have these darker forces that push you to make the change that you need in order to like align yourself with the the right path.

Marty Bent [22:48] Yeah. I think that's happened to a lot of like Kyle Olney, who's in the Bay Area. We had a conversation on Tuesday. It was published yesterday, and that's exactly what he said. He's like the alarm bells are going off in the valley. He's he one of the direct or paraphrase quotes from our conversation was like people are actually taking open source seriously now, where they thought it was they were interesting pet projects before, but to your point Fable five being pulled really sent a shot across the bow of of the valley and has people seriously considering like, okay, how do I run this stuff locally on open open models, open weight, open source models?

Erin Redwing [23:26] Yeah, I mean, if the government did a great job of running fiat currency, like if it managed its money responsibly, like a lot of us wouldn't be very into Bitcoin. Maybe there would still be, you know, a pretty big like privacy contingency that's interested in that kind of thing. But a lot of the like dollar debasement, inflation, value proposition of Bitcoin or something like gold would go away if it was well managed. So it's like, you know, part of the part of the decay of s of something that's in power or like the the institutional rot or whatever you want to call it. Like then sows the seeds for the thing to come up that is the solution.

Erin Redwing That's that's the external force. so yeah, you know, I think I think there's there's an interesting thing. I mean, you know, it seems like the focus is on AI right now. I will also just say, like, astrologically, this is not like a Bitcoin price action year. This is a year where we have to rediscover why we're all here in the first place. I think a lot of people got lost over the last couple of years with The treasury company stuff, with some of these like narratives of like, we're finally here, you know, we we made it, like we're gonna get 500k, we're gonna get one million by 2030, like it's all gonna happen, you know?

Erin Redwing And and it stopped being about whatever it was that brought you to this initially, and just started being like, I'm gonna escape the permanent underclass, like I'm gonna make it, you know. And and I think basically what we're going through right now, if you look at the astrology of of Bitcoin's chart. and the current transits, Bitcoin is actually wrapped up in this July twenty twenty six stuff. The Neptune placement in that in that astrological configuration is right on Bitcoin's natal moon. The moon is like the inner emotional Yeah yeah yeah question.

Marty Bent [25:06] Wha how does Bitcoin have a astrological chart? Is it is it on October thirty first, January third? Like what is the

Erin Redwing [25:09] Good question. So this is this is a bit of a point of controversy. I use the January third, two thousand nine chart. So this is like the Genesis block. I think about the white paper as essentially being conception, right? So we do the astrology of birth, not necessarily when a child is conceived. So I view it as the white paper that October thirty-first, two thousand eight date. Is like Bitcoin being conceived, and then Bitcoin is actually bl born in its form of like being a blockchain on January 3rd, 2009. So we have an exact birth time. It's like 1815 UTC on January 3rd, 2009, with that Chancellor on the second brink of bailouts for banks Genesis block that was mined by Satoshi, presumably.

Erin Redwing and so we can look at the exact planetary positions from that time, just like I could do for You, if I was looking at your natal chart or like any person that's getting an astrological reading. That's actually part of what really drew me to Bitcoin was that I was doing astrology of society and economics before I got into Bitcoin. And this can be kind of annoying because it's like, you know, when was a company born? Is it when the formation documents were filed? Like if you've ever founded a company. You know that like that's probably not actually really the birth of the company, right? Like you had the ideas before, maybe you made the handshake agreement and then the forms took six weeks or whatever to be processed.

Erin Redwing Like there's a little bit of a if you want to do astrology of companies or even gold, right? Gold's an el element. Like I can't look at gold as like a birth chart. But Bitcoin has an exact birth. And so like I could do very precise astrology of Bitcoin. astrology is actually what got me into Bitcoin in the first place. And then I stayed for like the hard money sovereign individual of it all. But yeah, so you can do astrology at Bitcoin. So for example, Bitcoin's a Capricorn sun, Aries moon. So its moon is at four degrees Aries. I mentioned earlier that this four degree point is the one that's getting all of these alignments.

Erin Redwing So Neptune is just about at or approaching four degrees Aries right now. Neptune, as I said, is that like dreaming a new dream? Like, my gosh, is this possible? Is this a world that we could live in? Is this a society that could work? It's something I maybe

Erin Redwing [27:24] never thought was possible before, but now I have this new idea and maybe it's idealistic, but maybe it will work, or maybe it won't. You know, it's it's that sort of like push-pull between reality and dreams. and we're getting that right on Bitcoin's natal moon, moon is like the emotional inner world. I think of Bitcoin's Aries moon as being like the fighter spirit of Bitcoin, the thing that's like, it won't be defeated, it will continue to fight. The thing that a lot of people are drawn to in Bitcoin is that kind of like What's like the honey badger phrase, you know what I mean? Like that that whole thing. Yep. Yes, exactly. So that needs a new dream. I think that right now, you know, people are are sort of looking at something like micro strategy and they're saying, like, no, you know, if if micro strategy fails, like maybe Bitcoin's gonna fail. Maybe that's gonna bring everything down. It's like, okay, well, if micro strategy

Marty Bent [27:53] Yeah. The honey badger money. The anti fragility of the network, all that.

Erin Redwing [28:18] like building a financial Rube Goldberg machine on top of Bitcoin in order to try to get yield, which is something that everyone has tried to do for the entirety of Bitcoin, by the way, like causes Bitcoin to fail, then like this was never gonna succeed, right? So I do think we kind of have to do a little bit of the kill your heroes, figure out why you were here in the first place, find the heart and soul of Bitcoin again type of thing this year. it's not not necessarily like a price action year, because price is is you know, price going up is not when you realize why you're here in the first place, right?

Erin Redwing Like you need to actually go through the motions of of thinking through from first principles and, you know, I sort of rambling at this point, but I've done my own sort of soul searching around Bitcoin this year. And I think the thing is, is like there's really nowhere else to go, right? Like there's no other asset for wealth preservation or for sovereign money except maybe gold bars. You know, but I still think Bitcoin is better than gold. So I think these kind of conversations internally and in the community are are what we need to be having around Bitcoin this year. how did I get on this point?

Erin Redwing What were we talking about? So I'm like gone in a million directions.

Marty Bent [29:27] The the July inflection point, Neptune, hitting the four degree marks soon and like Bitcoin's lunar moon. So next month.

Erin Redwing [29:34] Right. yes. I was I was sort of saying like I think that, you know, Bitcoin is wrapped up in this, but I d I think a lot of the the drama and the news that you'll see will be much more focused on AI. Like it AI is the main character right now, if that makes sense. It's not Bitcoin is sort of this thing in the background, that that may or may not, you know, be hurt or benefit from the AI bubble depending on how things go. So I I really think that July is about AI, surveillance, digital intelligence, like what it means to be able to access digital intelligence, or, you know, in my in my view, what we're creating is kind of like a hive mind consciousness as well, you know, it's like being trained on all of our data and then we're shaping our thoughts around it and everything feeds back into itself.

Erin Redwing So again, there's like a lot of layers to what AI actually is and how it's fitting into our society. But I personally think a lot of the stuff this summer will not be so much focused on Bitcoin, but but AI. AI is is gonna be the main character for sure.

Marty Bent [30:38] Yeah, I I've seen you tweet and I think we've discussed DMs too. You think Sam Altman in OpenAI particularly, and it's gonna be a big month for them specifically. And like what like again going into like the age of Aquarius and Neptune New Beginnings. That's what I that's what I'm wondering. Like what I you can see the setup for something big happening in a couple of weeks here with Fable Phi being pulled and Trump coming to to Elon's defense of the data center build out in Memphis and

Erin Redwing [30:47] Yeah.

Marty Bent [31:07] You y you can feel this tension in the AI space 'cause things are progressing so quickly and people are on the cutting edge getting access to these models and leverage them and are leveraging them or seeing like, my gosh, this is this is powerful and I want more of this. And you have to imagine the government saying, like, yes, it is powerful. I do understand you want more of it, but it may be too powerful to let out of our grasp. And so we gotta put some rules in order here.

Erin Redwing [31:34] Yeah, I think that's that's part of the question is who's more powerful, the government or AI? you know, something I noticed, so I live in California, and something I noticed is there was kind of no governor's race this year. I don't know if you follow California politics or anything like that, but you know, California is the th like fourth largest economy in the world now, thanks to the AI bubble. It's a huge, huge power to be running. Of course it's has its problems, so it's like, you know, it's not necessarily the best job to be governor of California, but you would think that Anthropic or OpenAI, both of whom are headquartered in San Francisco, would care about the outcome of something like the governor's race.

Erin Redwing And y like, I I kind of expected that they were gonna put forward, you know, some kind of JD Vance type of figure who would be on their side, but kind of pretend that they're not, but you know, clearly like like sort of like the Peter Thiel, JD Vance relationship. I I thought that we were gonna see something like that happen in the California election. And we didn't see that at all. In fact, no one really even ran. Like if you look at the two people that got through the primaries, you won't know either of their names because they're complete nobodies. And so I looked at this and was trying to understand like how how is AI letting this happen?

Erin Redwing Not like AI the models, but more like the institution and the money behind AI. Because you know, the the the public outcry against AI is quite extreme, right? Like you could imagine a California that becomes extremely untenable for the AI companies. I mean, for example, like Los Angeles as a city is very anti-AI because that's the home of entertainment and writers and Hollywood, right? Like they're not pro-AI in Southern California. So I kind of looked at this as like, are the AI people just like not wanting to, you know, bring attention to themselves and like get the sort of smoke that someone like Peter Thiel has gotten?

Erin Redwing What's going on? And what it seems like to me is it seems like the AI companies are basically banking on reaching AGI, so reaching some sort of state where

Erin Redwing [33:39] It doesn't matter what governments or businesses or whoever's in charge, like they have ultimate superintelligence and so they're gonna completely rewrite the world order. Or they already know that government officials are using AI, and so they already have soft control over everyone because they're the ones who control the models. These are like the only two scenarios that I think make any sense given the situation with what we are seeing in electoral politics. And so I kind of went on that California tangent because I think that. While it may seem like the government has a lot of power, it the actual reality is that money is what has power.

Erin Redwing You know, whoever has the money that they can donate to a campaign, you know, you look at something like Elon Musk and Trump in twenty twenty four or Peter Thiel and JD Vance, like if you have money, you can shape politics much more than any sort of individual force. Now That's different from the intelligence agencies or the deep state. Like they have their own sort of things that they're trying to do and agendas that they're following. But it's starting to seem to me like tech is taking over the government. Palantir is becoming like the surveillance state that we used to fear from the NSA or the CIA.

Erin Redwing you know, all of these sort of leaders are are getting a lot of power. not directly by running for office themselves or by having candidates openly say like I'm pro-AI or I think tech is great. But you know, you see something like OpenAI partner with the Department of War and it's like hard to not see that as AI and the tech companies becoming the government. I also think like you know if you look at we thought that CBDCs were going to be such a thing, right? We thought that the government was going to roll out their digital currency and force us all to use it.

Erin Redwing But what's actually happened is that we've just had these like private companies like Tether that are sort of filling that role. And so I think it's more that we're seeing this public-private partnership form where the power is not necessarily in the government itself. It's in these offshoot corporations that have immense power over the government. So maybe that's not a useful distinction. Maybe it's like, whatever, that's just the capital T they and they're controlling everything. but I do think it's interesting to then look at.

Erin Redwing [35:55] What do these AI people think about the future? And a lot of them have extremely dystopic ideas. Like you mentioned, Sam Altman. Sam Altman did WorldCoin before all of this. Like, do you remember WorldCoin? you know, Worldcoin, for those who are not familiar, was Sam Altman's crypto project that basically wanted to scan everyone's retina.

Marty Bent [36:04] Yep. Yeah.

Erin Redwing [36:15] In order to verify that they were human and reward them with WorldCoin that then they could like use as one world currency, right? Like this is like an insanely dystopic idea. but yeah, this is this is Sam Altman's view. And and Sam Altman similarly really used to believe in like UBI. He used to talk about UBI all the time, that AI was gonna get rid of all these jobs, and so we need UBI. Recently, he started talking about universal-based open AI stock. That's where he's pivoted. I'm like not even kidding. Like now he doesn't even see it like, we should have like, you know, our own bank accounts or whatever.

Erin Redwing It's more like how bought in to my system and my power structure are you gonna be? And and then that's gonna determine your class and society and how successful you are. So yeah, it's it's kind of interesting like to see, you know, I could go off about Peter Thiel and his antichrist lectures, right? Like there's a lot of interesting

Marty Bent [36:42] Ha ha I went to two of those. Yeah. They were So before we get to the lectures, I'll mention too, like Dario, his blog post that he that he released alongside the Fable Five release was very similar in this vein, basically a veiled threat of the government. Like governments move too slow, we're moving fast, like they can catch up or get left behind. So like that validates what you were just saying there. But the Peter Thiel

Erin Redwing [37:09] Did you really? Okay, what were they like? I have to know. Mm.

Marty Bent [37:34] Antichrist Lectures. He he did it at UATX when I was still in Austin. So it was a four part series. He did two a week for two weeks. I was able to make the first and third lectures of the four part series. It was very interesting. actually I think it was the first and last. I made one and four.

Erin Redwing [37:52] That's good. Those are probably the ones to go to, right?

Marty Bent [37:54] Yeah. And it was very inter it was I I think it a lot of what basically the whole thesis of and like I can hear freaks listening to this right now, like you went to Peter Sheel. It's like we've been talking about him on the podcast, we've been talking about Palantir, everybody's worried about like the Illuminati, we just talked about him on rabbit hole recap. I was like, All right, like if we're gonna talk about him, maybe we should see him up close and personal. But the whole the whole f yeah.

Erin Redwing [38:17] For sure. You have to bear witness. That's what I always tell people. Like if you catch me on some like Epstein flight log, like, yeah, I'm gonna go 'cause I need to see what's going on. Like that's that's just my thing. I like to witness things. So, you know, you gotta go to the Peter Thiel Antichrist lecture series. Like, come on.

Marty Bent [38:26] Ha ha ha. Yeah. And this whole the whole core argument of the lecture series was like too many people are focused on Armageddon, like the end of the world, rapture, when they should be more worried about the Antichrist. And it was like drawing a distinction between the two, describing what each thing looks like rapture, like God comes down and you you get judged and you either go to hell or you get a heaven. or you have some cataclysmic sort of asteroid event that takes out the world or some grid failure, whatever it may be, volcano eruption. And then most pe his argument was that most people are worried about that cataclysmic event.

Marty Bent Not enough people are focused on the Antichrist. And so the Antichrist lecture series was about defining trying to define what the Antichrist may look like when it emerges. And AI was obviously a a common thread, at least through the two lectures that I that I attended and that was basically what he was trying to argue in this lecture series is like too many people are focused on Armageddon in Rapture and not focused on the Antichrist. And I think that is basically his argument was like you're leaving the door open for the Antichrist to actually emerge and take over. And AI was a big focus. It's like we have to be worried about AI.

Marty Bent And I I think his argument was like, Yeah, it's it's can turn into a surveillance state and can do all these things and there's no but his main point was like there's no putting the genie back in into the lamp. Like you need to lean in and try to leverage the tools in a way that equip you to be able to combat the Antichrist for lack of better timer. This was over a year ago now at this point, so it's not exactly clear, but that's what I remember taking away from it.

Erin Redwing [40:22] Yeah, I think you know, if I put it in in astrological terms, because all of this sort of like revelations and the the kind of story of Christianity in Christ, all of that fits into astrology. I mean, I've I've used this line a million times, but the three wise men looking for a star that signaled the the coming of Christ, those are astrologers. Those were three astrologers that were looking for the beginning of the age of Pisces. And they found the exact time and place, and they showed up at the manger and they were like, Yes, we're the best astrologers in the world. We just figured this out like sick.

Erin Redwing So, you know, the birth of Christ fits into astrological narratives. This is the beginning of the age of Pisces. Jesus is the canonical Pisces. That's why you have the Christian fish symb symbolism. The fish is Piscean symbolism. And so the age of Pisces is astrologically like this is astronomical fact. I'm not even like doing mythology here. This is an astronomical fact that it started at the birth of Christ. And then we transition from the age of Pisces into the age of Aquarius around the year 2000. So this is why like New Age people are always talking about like, we're at the dawning of the age of Aquarius, you know, all that kind of stuff.

Erin Redwing Because that's that's this like 2000-year cycle that's that's emerging. And so one of the things that I've always thought Interesting about the Revelations narrative and the Antichrist and all of that kind of coming around now, where it seems like we are living in end times as described by Christian faith, is like, okay, well, you know, if if Christ began the last astrological age, it does seem like some second coming would be a part of the beginning of the next age, or like you wouldn't get the second coming of Christ while you're only halfway through the age of Pisces, right? Like it makes sense that it would happen.

Erin Redwing now and and that it would take a different form. So I think a lot of people are looking for because you know the the deal with the antichrist is the antichrist comes and we think it's Christ and then like he ends up being like, no, I'm not good. I'm actually bad. And then like things go bad. And then after that the real Christ emerges, right? Like, you know, that's that's sort of like the TLDR. I think a lot of people are looking for individual figureheads, right? They're looking to someone like Trump, you know, or

Erin Redwing [42:40] if it's the Antichrist side, they're looking at like, well, Peter Thiel might be the Antichrist or Elon Musk might be might be the Antichrist. They're looking for like human beings.

Marty Bent [42:49] This was an interesting detail of Peter's lecture is that he thinks like the Antichrist has to be almost a direct reflection of the actual Christ. And so they have to be like around thirty three years old. Like it was one of the core arguments he made is like if the Antichrist is going to be human, they have to be younger. And so maybe he was just trying to disqualify himself, maybe as the Antichrist playing a a sleight of hand. But that was another core point he made which I thought was interesting.

Erin Redwing [43:09] Right, right, right. That is really interesting. I mean, I think if if there is an Antichrist coming around, it's definitely an Aquarius. I'll just say that now. Like that's that's for sure the situation. but part of why I'm skeptical of it being a human being or or taking shape in like that sort of human form is because Aquarius is a sign of decentralization. That's part of why. The Age of Aquarius and studying that astrologically brought me to Bitcoin, is because Bitcoin has a lot of these properties that are Aquarian in nature. Aquarius is about interacting with other people while not losing your own individuality. So in the Pisces era, we were much more likely to dissolve into hierarchical structures and say, okay, I don't have direct access to God, but maybe my my pastor does and then maybe the pope above him does and and you know like you had to go through these hierarchical institutions in order to access God or to access power or to access wealth or whatever it is.

Erin Redwing And Aquarius basically flattens all of that into a mycelial network. Now that doesn't mean that everyone's gonna then you know we're gonna be in like some sort of communist world where everyone is equal. Certainly not, right? We're seeing like very, very high wealth inequality emerging as the age of Aquarius starts. But what it does mean is that like the networks are gonna be decentralized. So you might be here and you have all these connections around you that, you know, maybe they're Peter Thiel or Elon Musk or whoever, and that's who you have available to you. Or maybe you're over in another part of the network and you only have access to, you know, other people that aren't in power.

Erin Redwing So it's it's more of this like kind of decentralized, weird power structure that's not it's not like pyramid shaped in the same hierarchical way. So with that, it's like it's hard to imagine that you get some sort of Antichrist or Christ-like figure who's able to captivate collective consciousness in that way. I I mean I always actually make this point that like we don't have huge, huge superstars anymore. Like if you look at like someone like Michael Jackson, like it's impossible to get enough people to care about one person because media is so decentralized, our attention is so fractured.

Erin Redwing [45:34] What matters to you and what you think is like, my God, this is the big news of the day. You go talk to someone at the grocery store and they haven't even heard of it. You know, like if you ask like people at the grocery store like who's Peter Thiel, I bet a lot of them have never heard of him, right? So I don't know that like the I don't know that there's even the ability to have like a person or a character emerge that becomes as influential as what was possible in the past. Like I think it has to be some sort of decentralized structure.

Erin Redwing And that's why like I feel like AI is a better candidate because that's more of the infrastructure of thought and consciousness itself, right? That that can easily spread all throughout the world and into your mind in ways that you don't even realize necessarily just by small model updates. Right. So I don't know. I I I know Peter Thiel also like put Greta Thunberg like forward. Like he was like maybe it's Greta. It's like, bro, no one cares about Greta. Like come on.

Marty Bent [46:29] I think it was no, it was it was it was one of the examples he gave, but he's he was just like I think he was trying to basically elicit like this is the the archetype of the person you should be looking for, the antichrist 'cause Yeah. Yeah. And the 'cause it's crazy, just like the energy the last two weeks. Like you look at like the the ceasefire deal in Iran, you look at the World Cup in the US.

Erin Redwing [46:40] He's he's trying to put it put it off him, you know? He's like, No, no, no, it's over there, it's over there.

Marty Bent [46:57] The UFC fight on the lawn, the the 250th anniversary, obviously, of the Declaration of Independence right around the corner. And you just have to feel this culmination of energy. And to be honest, in the United States, from my perspective, vibes are very high right now. there there certainly are that that disconnection and that dislocation of wealth is there. But like it you can see it in some pockets, like AI, particularly. On the infrastructure build out it is giving blue collar workers, welders and electricians like high paying jobs. The SpaceX IPO obviously it made Elon a trillionaire and if the stock price stays where it is now, like he also minted four thousand five hundred millionaires within his own company, many of which were low level cafeteria workers.

Marty Bent And so yeah, that's what like my big question is like what the hell is gonna happen next month? 'Cause again, next month too, you have Two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the United States and obviously there's been a lot of preparation and momentum and energy leading up to that. you have Trump sort of revitalizing DC. I think like the the Washington Monument, whatever that is called, the pond, like redoing that like the like and despite what's happening at the political level, like right versus left, I don't know, but I'm sensing like people are feeling more patriotic, more proud to be American. And maybe that's just my convoluted perspective or not maybe c not convoluted perspective, but just my my lens and how I'm seeing it.

Marty Bent And maybe that's what the alga's feeding me. But I don't know, you feel the energy.

Erin Redwing [48:40] That's f so funny that you that's so funny that you say that because I feel like I've seen not exactly the exact opposite, but a different flavor of this, which is you see the Knicks winning in New York and Zorron Mamdani kind of like riding that wave and like, you know, in terms of I think Zoran is is sort of the last figure of the left, right? Like who can you point to that really seems like they're they're able to kind of amass interest and power. It's kind of just Zoran. Zoran was successful in that mayoral arr mayoral race. And like to have something like the Knicks win for the first time in like however many years, and like New York is like all up, like they're feeling so good.

Erin Redwing Like I it's I think it's it's happening in different, again, it's like it's not this pyramid structure anymore. Like Trump might have his circle around him that's like, Yeah, America 250, like we love the UFC events at the White House lawn, like whatever. But That's so separate from other spheres, right? Like, so I think I think we have this very fractured

Marty Bent [49:44] Zoom Ram Zom Ram Dani, thirty four. I'm just saying.

Erin Redwing [49:49] There you go. Wait, he I wonder if he was thirty three when he got elected.

Marty Bent [49:54] Born October eighteenth, I'm I just checked. So yeah, I think he would have been thirty three when he was elected.

Erin Redwing [49:56] Okay, Libra. Interesting. Hm. We'll see. We'll see. He did. He did. Yeah. I mean he's kind of like I I doubt he'll run in twenty twenty eight. I mean I imagine he wants to do a full term in New York, but

Marty Bent [50:03] Came out of nowhere. Dude came out of nowhere. Might not legally be able to they might be too young. no he yeah he

Erin Redwing [50:17] No, he's he's yeah. he's probably right just barely maybe old enough to run. I mean you look at someone like Barack Obama, right? Like Barack Obama was like meteoric, very, very fast rise. So you could see Zo Ron Mamdani following that track or like someone else who hasn't emerged yet. But I don't know. I I do think like it's like AI people think like they're gonna find AGI and like they're gonna be so wealthy and it's gonna be amazing. Or like Trump fans are like, yeah, like we're gonna negotiate the peace deal. Like it does seem like vibes are high in a certain way. I kind of I I tend to agree with you.

Erin Redwing But at the same time, you know, look at us as Bitcoiners, right? We're in like Bitcoin's at like 62 or something right now. Like not all is good. And I think a lot of people feel a lot of uncertainty about their jobs, right? Like they don't know there's a lot of tech layoffs. they don't know if they're gonna be able to continue working in their field of expertise in three years, five years, ten years, whatever. college grads everywhere are like booing the commencement speakers because they're like, bro, I don't have any jobs coming out of this degree and I just spent $300,000 on this and I'm, you know, that much in the hole and I'm only 21.

Erin Redwing So I don't know. It's I I think that that maybe speaks to the the heaven and hell experience that I was talking about before, where you know, if you're able to kind of notice what's going on and just align yourself correctly such that you can get what you want out of it. You know, that's sort of like a materialistic, like negative way of saying it, but just that you can find your own way and forge your own path through that, but not expect that the world is going to form itself around you or go back from what it seems inevitable. Like like the cat's out of the bag, right?

Erin Redwing Like this is what's happening and you kind of just have to accept that. Those types of people I think are finding a lot of opportunity. We're living in a time of extreme opportunity, right? but at the same time, there's a lot of people who feel extremely like stunted, like they they can't picture themselves in the future. They can't picture what their future will look like. And if they do, it's negative, right? So I don't know, we we have both things I think that are happening. In terms of just giving a little bit of the astrological timeline, just so that people have exact dates. So the peak of this alignment.

Erin Redwing [52:35] Is July 15th through 25th. These are very slow-moving planets. So it's not like, you know, it gets into alignment and it's like, ha, and then you have, you know, your crazy moment in the sky and then it's done. These are very slow-moving planets. So that's sort of just the peak. We're gonna be feeling it all throughout July. And then August, we go into eclipse season, and eclipse season is always chaotic. So kind of what I expect is that. The pieces will come into place during July. And if you're like a noticer, if you're paying attention, if you're reading between the lines, you will see what's happening.

Erin Redwing But it's not until those eclipses in August that there will be those like tower collapsing moments. the eclipses specifically are August twelfth and twenty-eighth. So those are like two dates that I would for example, FTX collapsed on an eclipse. Like I think that's a great example where If you could see the writing on the walls, if you were paying attention to how Sandbankman Freed and FTX was operating, you might have known that this was inevitable. And you might have thought, like, okay, this is like a tower that's gonna collapse eventually. But you need like that, you know, stark moment of something like an eclipse to actually make it happen.

Erin Redwing And then it it feels inevitable in retrospect, but at the time you're like, whoa, I can't believe this is happening at this moment, right? So I kind of suspect that we're gonna see. the pieces falling into place, you know, over the next six weeks, but we won't actually see those those sort of revelations coming out into the public per potentially until August. I also looked at MicroStrategy's chart because I was investigating that and I will say like Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy are both very implicated in the eclipses in August. So if you're like a strategy investor and you're looking for like are things gonna turn like in my favor, are things going to go up?

Erin Redwing Eclipses are not the time for favorable things. I'm not saying strategy's gonna collapse or anything like that. but I do think there's gonna have to be some like major, major reconcilings on Michael Saylor's part in August. That's definitely something that I think will be happening for him. so I don't know. I I mean I'm looking at my notes just to see like what else I have to make sure that I'm not missing. I mean, really, I think that the main thing is like we are moving into.

Erin Redwing [54:49] An era of decentralization for better or for worse. And so if you're looking for some sort of like institution to make everything right, or you're looking for like a silver bullet where you don't have to do anything and things just get figured out for you, like that's not that's not where we're going. If you if you allow society to make decisions for you, you're gonna end up in that like permanent underclass bucket, right? Like you're gonna be highly surveilled, you're gonna be paying subscription service and rent for everything that you use, you're not gonna own anything. maybe you'll be happy. I don't know, maybe you'll own nothing, you'll be happy, like they said, but that's not the future that I want.

Erin Redwing So I think a lot of this is about figuring out, like, okay, just because society is headed in this certain direction, or you know, things seem like they're they're taking shape in this way, how can I forge my own path along that such that I am traveling with it, but not just like going with whatever the mainstream version of it is? Like, how can I?

Marty Bent [55:21] Yeah.

Erin Redwing [55:45] How can I use this to my advantage to carve out the life that I want? That's not me just like fighting against the current over and over and over again. which is individual, right? Like that's that's an individual journey.

Marty Bent [55:53] Yeah. What do you think the the b do you think it's a big event or do you think it's just a series of events of

Erin Redwing [56:04] Well, we didn't talk about UFOs.

Marty Bent [56:06] Yeah. Well was Trump on the front lawn with representatives from MacArthur last week. Was that real or was that AI generated? I couldn't

Erin Redwing [56:10] He's there with the Nordic aliens. Dude, I don't know. I've like, there's really no way to know. I heard both, but it's like I I I have no idea. I mean, I you know, if you didn't already think I was crazy for, you know, an hour of astrology ramblings, like maybe now you'll think I'm crazy. I definitely believe that we've had contact with other entities, whether that's like Angels and demons or aliens, like maybe that line is kind of blurry and and you know, like we have like a sci-fi idea of what things could look like, which is like aliens living on other planets, and then we have like a religious narrative, which is things like the Catholic miracles or you know interactions with a angels and demons or the coming of Christ or whatever, right?

Erin Redwing Like kind of depends on your language, how you interpret these sort of events, but it does seem like these things are real and that they're being admitted. That said, like the rollout is so garbage, it's like hard to it's hard to see like what they're trying to do with this. Like it doesn't even really seem like, they're gonna like co-opt disclosure and like use it to like form a new world order or whatever. Like they're not even doing that. They're like vibe coding a website with Claude and being like, Hey guys, check out the documents. Like let us know what you think. It's like the lamest.

Erin Redwing disclosure ever, but it does seem like that's happening. So I don't know. I I kind of wonder what that will look like or if that will play into things here at all. Cause that seems like the other thing where, you know, if you're looking for some sort of ontological shock event, like what else is left? Like there's no other thing that could happen besides alien reveal that I think would would even have that sort of like ground shaking type of energy to it.

Erin Redwing [58:03] Maybe dropping a nuke, but I don't think that's like where we're headed either. Yeah, agreed. I mean honestly, hopefully the alien reveal doesn't happen if it's gonna happen in like a fucked up way either, you know. I'd rather it stay a secret. So it's hard to say.

Marty Bent [58:07] Hopefully that doesn't happen. Yeah, disclosure. Yeah, the newscaster's just gonna start going.

Erin Redwing [58:21] Yeah.

Marty Bent [58:22] The

Erin Redwing [58:24] They're gonna do a flash mob on CNN and they're all gonna start like clicking on their their desks in hopes that you'll watch their programming.

Marty Bent [58:32] Yeah, it is I mean, 'cause you've you've had just the the teasing of the disclosure going on for years now. And I I think it had way more momentum last year, around this time than it does now. It seems like it died off. I don't know if it was the war in Iran, whatever it may be, but yeah

Erin Redwing [58:51] I think people can't handle it. Like they don't even, you know, if you went to a lot of people and you were like, hey, aliens are real, they'd be like, Okay, and I have rent due. You know, like I don't I don't wanna deal with this. It's like I think it's a bit it's a bit too much, I think, for people 'cause the problem is, at least how I see it from my understanding of a lot of these UFO experiencer types of interactions, is like we don't know what they want. You know, it's not like it's not like these events happen and they're like, hey, you know, we're gonna take over your your planet or we're gonna, you know, get you guys to be a part of the Galactic Federation Council.

Erin Redwing Like they're not coming and saying, This is what we're gonna do or this is what you guys should do. A lot of these experiences and interactions are you know, that it's just it's ontologically changing for the people that it happens to, but it doesn't necessarily tell you anything about what's going on in terms of like Are these beings real? Are they time travelers? Like, you know, like there's a lot of different theories coming about. And so I think part of it is like in order for people to be able to digest a narrative like that, they have to have a story. Like, think about how important mythology has been to human understanding of complex ideas.

Erin Redwing I think that whatever's happening with these UFO interactions and experiences. I don't think people can just take them for what they are. I think they need some sort of mythology and narrative to explain them and I just don't think we have it. And so I think that's part of it is like if you just do a document drop with no explanation, people aren't really gonna care. I mean, y you look at something like the Epstein Files, like QAnon and that sort of narrative has been going on for decades at this point. Like there's a narrative for people to grasp onto about billionaire pedophiles and the ruling elite and all that.

Erin Redwing Like that's something people can actually digest e even if they don't ever look at a single document, right? But with the UFOs, like what's the story? You know, what's what's does it refute religion? Does it change things fundamentally? Like we don't really know, you know? So I don't know if that will change, if some sort of coherent narrative will emerge. Potentially that's what what we might start start to see. but until that I don't think people are gonna care.

Marty Bent [1:01:08] But Like bringing it back to the the Antichrist, I mean they're I mean the the the Catholic perspective is that the aliens are angels and demons and who knows, maybe maybe we're led to believe that an alien race has has made contact and they're here and they're gonna work with us and they have a leader, who's who's gonna tell us the the ways in which we can right the wrongs of of what we've done on this planet and accelerate into the future. Maybe he's the Antichrist, you know.

Erin Redwing [1:01:42] I mean certainly we see like common characters like I mean it's slightly different but like the DMT Clockwork Alps, right? Like these are characters that people see yeah, we were talking about that.

Marty Bent [1:01:49] Yeah, whoa, we were talking about that at dinner. Why are people getting kicked out of the DMT world at such a fast clip?

Erin Redwing [1:01:57] Maybe they're preparing, you know, maybe they're preparing for some sort of revelation. I don't know. I've heard a lot of I mean, I've spent like the last eight months going to UFO c conventions and talking to UFO people because I'm I'm actually like writing a novel about all of this. So it's sort of like for my own creative process as well as my own like intellectual curiosity. I'm like using it for both. But I have heard so many narratives. Like it it is. No one no one really knows. And I think it's hard to imagine what kind of experience would have to happen for people to actually believe one thing.

Erin Redwing Like we would literally, I think, have to have like a message telepathically delivered to all of our minds at the same time for us to believe that something like this was really happening and not just be like, Did Trump really meet with those Nordics on the White House lawn or was that AI? I don't even know. You know, like it's like

Marty Bent [1:02:53] Okay.

Erin Redwing [1:02:54] Like there's no way to verify like a universal truth anymore. So I think that if there are entities out there that have any interest in establishing themselves as like a part of our lore or a part of our human story, like they're gonna have to do something really big and and I don't know, it seems like maybe they don't want that, you know? Like that that sort of s it seems like they they don't necessarily want everyone to believe in them or they don't want to be discovered. So I don't know if that will change. It's it's very hard to say. But I'm I'm personally very interested in the UFO stuff. So that's kind of my like, like I feel like July astrology kind of crazy moments are likely about AI and surveillance and you know, these kind of like technological, dystopic events. But personally, I'm like, maybe it's aliens. You know, that's like what I would be most interested in.

Marty Bent [1:03:45] Yeah. The what it so obviously we this alignment coming up in next month, eclipses in August. What happens after that? Like what do we settle into? and what's that transition look like?

Erin Redwing [1:04:00] So the rest of t yeah, the rest of twenty twenty six is a lot of reworking and restructuring. So this spring, like the first half of twenty twenty six has been very, very active. So we started with Saturn-Neptune conjunction on February twentieth, twenty twenty-six. So I kind of mentioned like there's already been some stuff that's happened in twenty twenty six that's kind of teed this off. It's not like it's not like we're waiting for the beginning of a new era. A lot of us, especially those of us who are vibe coding or using AI, like, you know, we feel like we're living in a fundamentally different world than we were two years ago, at least when it comes to our interactions with the computer and our ability to do things.

Erin Redwing I mean, people are able to be five different experts at once, like have a team of one to build out a website or a product, you know, all these kind of things that are emerging as a result of AI agents and just the progress of AI. That's what I sort of think emerged with February. That was sort of like Like, you know, I I was looking at the time, right? Like as an astrologer, I was like, okay, this is a big, big new beginning moment. And I live in the Bay Area. So I was going and talking to a lot of AI people and and seeing that realm.

Erin Redwing And those people were like, they're like, I have 30 interns that work under me and they're all AI. You know what I mean? Like they they were going crazy on this stuff. And so I kind of see it as February was this February twenty twenty six kind of kicked things off where we're now in this,

Marty Bent [1:05:01] The open call movie. Yeah.

Erin Redwing [1:05:29] Sort of like from some perspectives you could call it an AI arms race, right? If you want to tie the geopolitics into it and think about things like US versus China, the global world order, who has power, is it the AI companies, the governments, et cetera? That kind of got kicked off, I think, in February. and then July, we sort of, I think, have maybe like a cementing or an alignment of things where that could be. For example, the US, you know, is aligned with OpenAI and they decide that they're doing XYZ and that's the new power structure. Like, I think it's February kicked off something that will come into a more completed, perfect alignment in July.

Erin Redwing And then after that, you know, after the eclipses in August, we have a lot of reworking and rethinking around all of those themes. Astrologically speaking, the planets are going retrograde. So they're they're covering path that they already went through. They're not like foraging into new territory. They're going back and saying, okay, like this idea that we had, is this really real? is this really valuable? what I kind of think will happen is we have the IPOs for a lot of these companies coming up at that time. So SpaceX just IPO'd, those employees or whoever got SpaceX stock in that IPO are still locked up. They can't like sell yet, right?

Erin Redwing They can't like convert that into something else. But they will, you know, and many of them will probably buy houses, or maybe they'll buy Bitcoin even, or like, you know, they'll diversify the millions and millions of dollars that they're making off of that IPO. And then you're gonna see, I think OpenAI is scheduled for September. I mean, it's all very dependent on like market conditions, but they're aiming for September. I believe Anthropic is aiming for just after that. So, you know, you're basically gonna be seeing the public market access to all of these things that. Everyone is being told is the only way to escape the permanent underclass and the future, and you're not gonna have a job, you're just gonna have open AI stock.

Erin Redwing You know what I mean? Like there's kind of these narratives forming that remind me a lot of crypto, actually. Like a lot of like the shit coin kind of like, get in, get in, get in, bro, it's only gonna go up. And then it's like at some point, you know, it doesn't matter how valuable the thing is, it can be overbought at some point. And you know, this is a whole other thing, but it's like AI might be allowing.

Erin Redwing [1:07:48] a company or an individual to greatly decrease the cost of whatever it would have taken them to build whatever they're building. But that value doesn't directly go into the AI companies, right? That's just a $20 a month Claude subscription. So the value that AI is creating or destroying is not necessarily going into these companies that are IPOing, but we're certainly acting like it is, right? Like we're saying that like trillions of dollars, you know, can go into training these models and that's definitely going to reward open AI or anthropic. But maybe it won't, you know, like that that might be the case. And so I kind of wonder if astrologically speaking, this fall, if we see these IPOs happening and we actually see a rethinking of the value around these things, that maybe we had all of this hype that started building extremely in February 2020 and we were like, my God, we're in the future.

Erin Redwing I'm gonna be able to vibe code anything that I want. Da-da-da-da. And then you realize, actually, you know, maybe I could use a software engineer to look at this vibe coded Code because it's not that good and it breaks and I don't know what to do with it. Or you know, maybe I thought I was gonna get access to Fable Five, but they're totally nerfing it because the US government says they have to, right? Like there could be these kind of pullbacks that happen around AI and our expectation. And I I wonder how that might relate to the IPO schedules for these companies, because that's that's really the next like big thing that's happening for AI.

Erin Redwing so we'll see, you know, things have to unfold and I think I'm also hesitant to make solid predictions because I think July and August could be so like, you know, if you were trying to make predictions for March 2020 in December 2019, it'd be very hard to to accurately have those play out, right? so I'm I'm kind of looking again, not necessarily that we're gonna have a COVID style event, but I'm looking at something that is sort of fundamentally changing the the playing field. And so based on where things are right now and how I could see things playing out, I think a reworking around AI, but maybe it's UFOs, you know.

Marty Bent [1:09:52] Well, when do we get relative calm? 'Cause just thinking of my life. Like dot com bubble, nine eleven. Yeah, real dot com bubble, nine eleven, great financial crisis, covet, AI.

Erin Redwing [1:09:57] Relative relative calm. twenty thirty-two is like the next big like astrological like uh-oh moment. Cause like two thousand one, two thousand eight, and twenty twenty were all like moments for astrology. And you know, what you just listed are those three things. Twenty thirty-two is one of those. I've actually pointed to that as being my date for if Bitcoin has not established itself at that point, it's like not gonna work. Like twenty thirty-two is kind of my timeline for You know, Bitcoin can't just be this speculative asset. It has to be integrated in something in some way, or it has to be a a clear part of something, you know, beyond just our hopes and dreams and podcasting that we do about it, you know?

Erin Redwing so yeah, 2032 I think is basically, I mean, just actually to give sort of like the roadmap of the next couple years astrologically, 2026 through 29 is. All new energy coming in. So I think we're gonna see major, major transformations around technology and how we integrate with it. Themes of transhumanism will probably be coming up. You know, what does it mean to be a human? What aspects of your humanity do you want to hold on to versus which ones of them are you willing to give up for certain superhuman strengths that technology can give you? I think that's gonna be really the focus of the rest of the 2020s.

Erin Redwing And then 2030s, yeah, we have this kind of crazy. like it's it's a Saturn Uranus conjunction in twenty thirty two, among a couple other things that I think will be a little bit of like a stress test. Again, who knows what the world's gonna look like by then. So it's very hard for me to say how it will play out. But definitely as far as Bitcoin is is concerned, like it's it's gotta have figured something out by then. otherwise, yeah, it's a do or die moment for sure.

Marty Bent [1:11:50] It's do or die. Yeah. So we're going to the Valley of Despair right now.

Erin Redwing [1:11:59] We are. We are. It's more positive. I think like again it sort of depends on like what what restructuring we're we're doing around like the the reason why we're all here. you know, I think how

Marty Bent [1:12:00] What is next year looking like for Bitcoin?

Erin Redwing [1:12:18] Something that I like I've kind of found myself in like an interesting world in Bitcoin because like I'm a Bitcoin astrologer, so it's kind of like a weird take to have on Bitcoin. So sometimes I end up with like the Bitcoin think boys who are doing like Bitcoin's literally a digital battery, like type of claims about Bitcoin, because Bitcoin astrology is sort of like falls into that realm. but then because I have like my podcast with Casey, who's very much on the Bitcoin technical side of things, I also end up with a lot of devs and a lot of like hardcore Bitcoin nerds. And a lot of the groups in Bitcoin have very, very different ideas of what Bitcoin should be or what success looks like.

Erin Redwing And so, you know, we see all of these forks coming up, right? we'll see if they yeah, in August. I I will say also, I have advised all of them to do July instead of August, and no one will listen to me. I don't know why they won't listen to the Bitcoin astrologer, but I've told them like August is not eclipse season is not the time to try to do something.

Marty Bent [1:13:00] In August.

Erin Redwing [1:13:17] Big chaotic change that you want to be successful. It's the time to do a big chaotic change that's gonna flop majorly. Like that's what August is. so again, that's happening in August, but yeah, I don't know. I think I think it's yet to be seen what will emerge from like Bitcoin culture and the Bitcoin movement after 2026. It is looking more positive though. Like I think in terms of like price action and the world aligning in a direction that Bitcoin is also aligning. And by that I mean like, you know, when we talked about things like the government printing and being irresponsible with money is good for Bitcoin.

Erin Redwing Like it's not necessarily that everyone's gonna like, yeah, I love sovereign individual lifestyle. It might be that the government is printing money to bail out the AI bubble popping, like, you know, something like that, and that that benefits Bitcoin. That's the kind of astrology that we're looking at in the first half of twenty twenty seven. Again, not saying that's exactly what will happen, but just It's more positive, but I think to get there, we're gonna lose a lot of people on the way. And I don't mean they're gonna die, but I like they're gonna fork off, you know? They're gonna, they're gonna get wrecked by things like MicroStrategy potentially having like their Rube Goldberg machine fall apart.

Erin Redwing So, you know, whatever. What's the stay humble stacks that's like that's always the the way, right? Like it's if you self-custody your own Bitcoin, no one can take that from you and I think that's the only way to to get to more positive time. So don't let you know, don't let like the the like set of a cantist Catholic pope like Luke Deshir tell you that you should fork off to his chain and follow his doctrine instead. Don't let Michael Saylor convince you that you should go back to the financial system that you thought was rotten and is part of why you came to Bitcoin in the first place.

Erin Redwing Like there's a reason to be here and and I think people need to reconnect with that again before we're gonna have NGU. Come into effect.

Marty Bent [1:15:12] Yeah. No, it's it's been funny. It's 'cause when Paper Bitcoin Summer happened last summer throughout the whole thing, I mean we we were cheering it on tongue in cheek. but also telling people like, Hey, you're buying shares in a in a company that that holds Bitcoin. It's not the same as holding Bitcoin and it's been very interesting to w watch, especially like in the last few weeks since stretch has lost its peg, I it's trading at like eighty three dollars. So seventeen dollars below par and we're like, Hey guys, like stop Parker is a good friend of mine, like very vocal on Twitter specifically, going straight at Stribe and Micro Strategy and saying you're you're saying that this is better than Bitcoin when it's obviously not, like nothing is and it you can I c you can see this bifurcation.

Marty Bent It's very clear to me, somebody's been in and even the Bip one ten people, it's th that I would add that into like a separate bifurcation, but a bifurcation nonetheless, it's very obvious to me. And it is funny, like to your point, like that I think I having been in this for a while and having been doing media around Bitcoin for almost a decade now. Nine years. We turned nine years old ten days ago. first newsletter I sent out. Thank you. First first newsletter I sent out was June eighth, twenty seventeen. So we're officially nine years and ten days old as we record today. And

Erin Redwing [1:16:28] Congrats. Happy birthday.

Marty Bent [1:16:39] I feel like just having the pattern recognition of being in Bitcoin for many years before I started writing and now, obviously being immersed in the industry, it's very clear to me the different factions and their perspectives and I know which faction I sit in which is stay on the stack sats, use the tool the way it was supposed to be or the way the when you say the way it's supposed to be used, people get very triggered, but I think the way it's supposed to be used is is actually applicable here where it's peer to peer digital cash, use it that way. Hold your own keys.

Marty Bent Like it is your money. It's fuck you money. Use it that way. And we've been getting lambasted for for for putting these what I deem to be simple truths out there. Like this is objectively the best way to use Bitcoin. And it's a it's a lot of it's a lot of nervous energy and it's becoming more nervous by the week, particularly from the from the Orange Tie Treasury Cobros, because I think they're they're realizing that maybe it's not everything that they've been sold it to be, particularly the

Erin Redwing [1:17:44] Yeah, I mean, people are getting wrecked, right? Like that's that's the thing. It's like if you just self-custody your own Bitcoin, you know, life circumstances might mean that you have to sell it here and there in order to pay your rent or pay your mortgage or whatever. But generally speaking, like it's yours and there's nothing that will change the Bitcoin amount in there, even if the dollar amount of that Bitcoin changes. But if you're doing like derivatives on top of derivatives seeking the yield, like the risk is coming from somewhere and Again, I feel like this is a lesson that a lot of us learned when we got into Bitcoin initially, but greed is a sin for a reason, right?

Erin Redwing Like greed is very powerful and it can override your rational brain. It can override a lot of the positive convictions that you have. And I think when you are constantly seeing even if it's not real, you know, if you're constantly seeing things on on X or whatever of people getting fabulously wealthy off of buying X, Y, or Z or getting in at this time. It's very, very tempting to abandon the stay humble stack sats mentality and say, Well, you know, I'm I'm kind of new to this. Like maybe I can be the fiat insider for this one. You know, like that's always the thing. That's that's how crypto went too.

Erin Redwing As you said, like these narratives are run over and over again in different flavors throughout all of Bitcoin's history. So it's like, you know, I think I think I think Bitcoin has the power to transform the natural instinct towards greed into a system where people can't like defraud each other. That's that's more like a fair value system where you don't need like that trusted third party, yada yada. But greed is still part of it, right? Like you have your natural in incentives that are part of Bitcoin where you want to make money and you want to protect your wealth and and the structure of Bitcoin allows for you to have those incentives and not corrupt the whole system, which is part of like the magic of it, right?

Erin Redwing But I think that greed is still there. And a lot of us a lot of people came here for NGU technology, right? Like that's it's not necessarily even something to be ashamed of. But it's like, you know, you wanna, you wanna preserve your wealth. You want to be able to create a better life for yourself and your family. Like all of these instincts can be positive instincts that can then can

Erin Redwing [1:20:03] go towards greed and then greed can corrupt all of it. So I feel like that's kind of part of it too is like the pitfalls will continue. Like micro strategy might not be, you know, the big player in Bitcoin in five years because of the financial decisions that they made a year ago or are making now. Like I'm not saying that's definitely the case, but that could be the case. just like FTX is not around anymore, even though Sam Bankman Freed and FTX was such a huge part of that twenty twenty one bull run. but Bitcoin will still be here. And so I think like that's that's kind of like the most ideal form of this restructuring around the heart and soul of Bitcoin that is happening in 2026 is like people need to rediscover while they're why they're here and hopefully continue to make that hard decision of not just like going for fast and easy, easy money, you know, that that that like lore that's placed in front of them all the time.

Erin Redwing and instead like be convicted, you know, and believe that that the first principles that you came to in order to come to the decision of yes, Bitcoin is the thing that I that I believe is valuable. Like that you came to that for a reason, you know, and and I don't know. We'll we'll see how it shakes out. I don't like wish for strategy to collapse or like Nakamoto to do badly or any of like the Bitcoin treasury companies. Like I don't want to see people get wrecked, but I'm sure you can relate, it's like you can see this story as it's playing out, you know, and and I think yeah, it's it's hard to it's hard to like imagine that it would have gone any other way.

Erin Redwing You know what I mean?

Marty Bent [1:21:42] It's it's almost like people should have stayed humble and sack sats, you know. It's it's well like and and to put a more positive spin on this while all the attention has been drawn towards that part of the market, and I think in recent months more negative attention towards that part of the market, but it it's still amassing a a large portion of of the attention space of of our industry. A ton of incredible like low level protocol development, not not on Bitcoin protocol, but second layer protocol development with like Arc Spark, eCashments. And like you can see them silently, unless you're paying attention, you you don't know this is happening, but like the the interoperability between all these second layer solutions that can enable Bitcoin as as true freedom money that is used as a medium of exchange on top of a store of value in a unit of account.

Marty Bent Like it's happening and That's what I'm very interested to see if picking up what you're putting down and thinking of like this as a get back to your roots, why we're here. I'm very happy to know that there are a lot of people, particularly on the development side, that that know why we're here and have stayed convicted and have built some infrastructure that I am pretty confident will be critical to getting us to a point by twenty thirty two where Bitcoin i it has at least the potential to be an integral part of our everyday lives.

Erin Redwing [1:23:10] Totally. I mean the vibe coding stuff helps Bitcoin too, right? Like the fact that people can use AI in order to enhance what they were able to build before AI is amazing and and certainly Bitcoin will benefit from that. N not necessarily vibe coding, but I just used Bitcoin to pay for coffee at a coffee shop near to my house b thanks to Square. Like literally yesterday I did that. You know, that's Aaron in twenty twenty three or twenty twenty two, like hearing that, I would have been like, my God, we're finally here. Wow, that's crazy. I just went to this coffee shop and was able to use my Phoenix Lightning wallet to pay for my coffee. Like that's that's a huge thing, right? But we are, as you said, we're kind of like distracted by the market and and following the price action. and so yeah, I think like it we have to figure out what the real focus is here.

Marty Bent [1:24:02] What what would you like to see, on the Bitcoin side after we get through this chaotic period of the summer and move into next year and

Erin Redwing [1:24:12] You know, I think that, as I said, I I kind of get like a close window to the technical side of things, through Casey and the fact that I w was like, you know, in Ordinal's world and all of that. And I do think that the critiques of Bitcoin Core that are coming from the BIP one tenors are like not entirely unfounded, right? Like I'm not like on Core's side or anyone's side. I kind of think everyone has valid arguments and there's certainly issues. I think one of the main issues that Bitcoin will have moving forward is the tyranny of structurelessness. That's like a famous like feminist anarchist article or essay written I think in like the nineties or something or maybe it was the seventies.

Erin Redwing but it's basically talking about how anarchist movements suffer from not having like Figured out hierarchical structures or leaders. You know, it's like if you're all just like, yeah, you know, like I'll come in and I'll do this part, like I'll do the tarot readings on the commune, okay, I'll do the astrology readings. It's like, okay, well, who builds the roads, right? Like I think that Bitcoin is suffering a little bit from the fact that you know, when you have this voluntary participation, decentralized development structure, it makes it very hard to make difficult but necessary changes. so you know, if you look at like the history of soft forks, every soft fork has happened in a different way from the soft fork before it.

Erin Redwing Like we have no formula for changing Bitcoin, we have no protocol for how to do hard things. And so, you know, if anything, I I'm actually very encouraged in a way to see the forks coming out because I do think that we have to try. We have to try to change Bitcoin, we have to try to see what would it look like to you know, have miners signal that they want this change added or, you know, get different parts of the network activated in order to do something like a soft fork or a hard fork or whatever might be needed. that said, of course, like Bitcoin benefits from the fact that it's hard to change and that it's conservative.

Erin Redwing So there's a push-pull there, but I think we've really leaned into ossification over the last couple of years. When I first got into Bitcoin, I think like I guess this was probably like 22 is when I started actually making friends in Bitcoin and like talking to people.

Erin Redwing [1:26:32] like I remember them saying, like, we're gonna have Opsy TV by the end of the year. Like, no, no, no way we won't, you know, it's totally gonna happen. And we're here in 2026, and it's like that's you know, it's not happened and it's not close to happening, in my opinion. So I do think that the the struggles and the strife that are happening in the development side hopefully will help us figure out what actually needs to happen and we'll figure out a formula for how we How we govern something that doesn't have this sort of formal governance structure. Like this is something that's very, very hard to do and is kind of being done for the first time ever at this scale.

Erin Redwing You know, if you think about how big of an asset Bitcoin is, like there's really no other structure that's that valuable and that important that has this kind of like, I don't know, just like contribute to the GitHub, man. Like whatever, you know. so that's not to say that I I I I don't.

Marty Bent [1:27:24] Yeah.

Erin Redwing [1:27:28] Hope that like an institution comes in and says, Okay, here's how we're gonna run Bitcoin Core or whatever, right? Like I don't want to have a a fork that goes off into like one guy maintaining the code or whatever. But we do have to figure these things out. So that's that's really what I'd like to see throughout the rest of 2026 is like let these forks happen, see what happens on the other side of them, and then maybe that can be like the purge that we need in order to like move forward more positively, because there has to be something. that gives on both sides, I think. so that's that's from my vantage point, that's what I see.

Marty Bent [1:28:00] Yeah. Yep. I think we're very aligned there. And I I've been consistent with this too. Like I can see both sides of the argument. don't think BIP one ten is the solution. Also not happy with how core has been maintained. And there's something that's gotta be figured out on the back end of all this. Right. But unless you choose a side I mean, I d I think I'm probably more sympathetic to the core side, but I I do not agree with everything they did.

Erin Redwing [1:28:21] Us radical centrists in Bitcoin Yeah, I I we're probably very similar if I had to guess. Like it's yeah, it's it's it's both.

Marty Bent [1:28:40] Alright, I I wanna end it on something 'cause it like and get back to astrology. You're talking about energies, rel relative energies between these planets and the alignment. Like what what gives you it's almost like you're anthropomorphizing the planets and like what gives them individual energy and what is happening when they're interacting with each other?

Erin Redwing [1:28:43] Right. The reason for the season. Yeah, so you know, as I said right in the beginning, like astrology is this thousands of years old study of the motion of planetary objects and then trying to find relationships. So it started by just being like, okay, how wh how are these things moving? Like why why does this very bright star sometimes move forward and then it moves back and now it's behind the sun? Like even just figuring that out was was like a non-trivial part of this, of just like figuring out the cycles themselves. So that's one aspect. And then With that, they were kind of were like, my God, it's it's pretty crazy when you get two of those right next to each other, right?

Erin Redwing Like that just makes sense that you would you would think that's like an auspicious moment. I mean, imagine seeing a solar eclipse like in ancient times. Like the sun is all of a sudden blotted out for two minutes and then everything's back to normal. Like there's there's a very long history of simply observing, just not not ascribing energies or meanings, but just saying, wow, like this is kind of. crazy stuff that's happening in the skies, in the heavens, you know, like so that I think starts to create the more religious narrative of it. Is like maybe this is connected to a higher power to gods.

Erin Redwing Maybe they are gods, maybe they are angels or they're representing something, right? This is like pre-Christianity, Islam, Judaism, right? This is like proto-religions. so you start to kind of see like just the basic association of eclipses are the first thing that come out in astrology is, you know, you have a An eclipse and an emperor dies, or an emperor is instated, but then it's a terrible rule, like it's a bad emperor, right? Like there's there's that's ancient Babylonian astrology. That's sort of like the first astrology that you start to see is the relationship between eclipses, which are these crazy, you know, if you actually saw them in ancient times, would be like a striking, shocking event.

Erin Redwing being able to track eclipses and then trying to find relationships between eclipses and what was happening primarily for kings and leaders. that like first, you know, that's the first recorded astrology we have. That still ties in today. Trump was born on an eclipse, Netanyahu was born on an eclipse, and the recently deceased Ayatollah was also born on an eclipse. So, like three major world leaders in huge conflict with each other, all eclipse babies. So this was like what the Babylonians talked about. Like this is predating anything having to do with the astrological signs.

Erin Redwing [1:31:22] Or the planets or anything like that. That was like a very basic astrological principle that still plays out today. Then, you know, you basically have thousands of years of people doing this work to try to tie together, okay, what happens when this star, or you know, we know it as a planet now, is right next to the sun or is right next to this other star? Like, can we start to suss out relationships? And so astrology basically is the formation of thousands of years of observations of cycles and coming up with. archetypes and universal energies that emerge from observing those cycles. Carl Jung referred to astrology as being all ancient knowledge of human archetypes and psychology, that like this was basically our attempt to understand what consciousness is, what sort of energies play out on an individual level as well as well as a societal level, and to be able to track those.

Erin Redwing So You know, there's no Bible of astrology because there's no prophet of astrology. There's no like one person who said, like, this is what astrology is. It's really just the formation of many, many different astrologers throughout thousands of years that are like building on each other's knowledge. and that's actually what's so cool about being an astrologer now is that the outer planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, were only discovered in the last like one to two hundred years. So I consider myself to be like an outer planet astrologer living in the golden age of outer planet astrology. Like the types of inferences and connections that we make now, by the way, this July 2026 alignment, all the outer planets, like the ancients wouldn't have even seen this.

Erin Redwing They wouldn't have even known that this was happening. Like this is something that is like a crazy time to be alive and practicing astrology looking at, right? Like there's no one throughout human history that saw this and knew what it was. We can only look back by, you know, tracking planetary motions and saying, okay, this happened in 4300 BC. So what happened in 4300 BC? You know, this is this is all the work of astrologers in modern times. I you know, if people are interested in in this topic, I I make videos, I have a podcast, like I put out astrology content, but SJ Anderson and Dan Waits are two really, really great technological outer planet astrologers who talk about Bitcoin quite a bit.

Erin Redwing [1:33:38] And they both post on YouTube like once a week. So I'd highly recommend looking into their work if you're like interested in the these kind of topics, because they've done great work. But you know, these are two people that I consider to be like on the level of great ancient astrologers in terms of like the the work that we're all sort of contributing to. So yeah, astrology is basically like a huge collective group project that anyone who gets hyper fixated on it gets to work on.

Marty Bent [1:34:06] Is there the potential for some sort of like quantum effect via the observation of all this? Like you can you can push it a certain way or another just by having the knowledge that it's happening and then observing and then manifesting.

Erin Redwing [1:34:11] Maybe. Maybe. I I I definitely wonder this. I mean, you know, in in terms of like, as I said also in the beginning, like I have really interrogated my belief in astrology. It's not like I learned astrology and was like, yep, this must be real. I was like, this can't be real. There's no way. It doesn't make sense. Like, and you know, it's not the gravity of the planets. There's no scientific explanation for astrology. I think that like the conclusion I've come to for myself is I believe it's real for reasons that are sort of external to my own perception, but I'm also okay with it being real in the sense that if you believe something is real and you organize your life around it, reality reflects you back to yourself.

Erin Redwing You know, like I do think that there's some aspect of you know, this this also plays out with religion. Like if you look at like the best athletes in the world, like Olympic athletes or NBA players or NFL players, a lot of them are really, really into God. Like they really believe that there's a higher power that they're channeling. And like I don't think that that's a coincidence. I think that when you believe in something, it becomes your reality. And so if you believe in something that's very strong or or ideally like positive for your life, your life will reflect that back to you. And for me, astrology has been unbelievably positive and has made me a much smarter person.

Erin Redwing And it's helped me understand the world around me as well as other people. So Like if that's all it is, is it's just, you know, my reality shaping around the fact that I care about these things or observe them, it's worked pretty well for the last eight years. but you know, I think the ancients were on to something. I think there's something there too.

Marty Bent [1:35:57] I did too. Ancient Aliens is like a show I fall asleep to like three times.

Erin Redwing [1:36:01] I mean we could do a whole episode on that kind of stuff, like

Marty Bent [1:36:03] Well that's what you you marked six thousand years ago and in my head I I pinned p put a pin in it, it was like, Well, you get into like Randall Carlson, Graham Hancock.

Erin Redwing [1:36:12] I mean, Younger Dryas Impact, right? 12,000 years ago. So that was the age of Leo. So Leo is across from Aquarius. So we're doing also this weird inversion of Atlantis. I talk about Atlantis a lot, like in my own content, but like I think that we're reliving the Atlantis narrative and like the fall of Atlantis potentially. And it's like a question of whether we're going to be like Atlantis, which was this like technologically advanced society that fell due to its own hubris. That's the Plato.

Marty Bent [1:36:15] Yeah.

Erin Redwing [1:36:41] you know, myth of Atlantis basically says that that hubris was the fall of Atlantis. Look at a city like San Francisco and the AI Tech Bros. Like you can see a lot of similarities where we have all the tools to create a utopia and yet we seem incapable for some reason, or we we're not able to like step into technology in a way that benefits humanity and not just like siphons value for our own personal gain. So, you know,

Marty Bent [1:37:05] Well that's why I mean, maybe there's a dark horse in this AI race, but mid journey, I'm sure you saw what they released yesterday.

Erin Redwing [1:37:10] I did, I did. That's craze. I mean, like, I didn't know they were doing anything beyond image generation. Like, that's nuts.

Marty Bent [1:37:18] Right? They've never raised outside capital and they people don't know what they're doing and then they come out and they're like, we have this incredible image what we call it screening technology. What's word I'm looking for? Scanning technology that can compete with MRIs and is relatively cheap and will hopefully save lives. I was I was very optimistic today after that launch. It's like not dystopian, we're gonna take your jobs. It's like, here's a product. that that we built using revenue from our image generator to to make h humanity better off. It's like okay, it's good to see those every once in a while.

Erin Redwing [1:37:56] Yeah. Yeah, you have to have like from the darkness emerges light. You know, it's like the tech the major tech companies becoming more dystopic makes the alternatives much more appealing. And so it allows for the little guys to actually win or to get some version of market share when you might have thought, as you said, like mid-journey would have just been totally out of the race at this point. So yeah. I'm optimistic. I I you know, I think that What's coming astrologically will be very difficult for a lot of people. Change is hard. and certainly we've been living through a lot of change. I think a lot of people are ready for change to slow down.

Erin Redwing Unfortunately, I don't think that's what's happening. so you know, just figure out what your piece of that looks like and also stay grounded to physical reality. You are a human being, you know, you you're you're an insoled. you know, entity that maybe exists in the ether, but here you're you're an insoled being that is existing in physical space. And so logging off, going outside, going camping for the weekend, and not having your you know, having your phone on airplane mode or going somewhere where there's no service. all of these things I think are a big part of not going completely insane, which also is another thing that kind of takes you out of the the running for whatever utopia we may or may not be headed towards.

Erin Redwing So touch grass, as they say, and just like try to try to stay sane and grounded and you know, things like family and loved ones and the natural world, like that's part of what the human experience is. And I don't I don't want to lose that. Like that's my version of like, you know, when we look at something like transhumanism emerging, like I still want to have my family and my relationship to nature and I want to own my property and maintain my land and all those kind of things. Like that's my version. So I think figuring out what aspects of being human are important to you and making sure that you're cultivating that even as technology grows and information becomes so enticing to just stay in your mind and constantly be on the internet and looking at things, like try to also live an embodied human experience because you need to have both.

Marty Bent [1:40:03] Couldn't have said it better myself, Aaron. This was as good, if not better, than I was expecting, and hopefully not the last time we do this.

Erin Redwing [1:40:09] good. Good. I'm glad to hear it. I wasn't sure. I was like, am I rambling way too much at Marty? Like is Marty like, what the hell did I do having this girl on here?

Marty Bent [1:40:20] No, that is I I've I've been told I know when to shut up and just let the guests do the talk. And the people came here to listen to you, not listen to me. So this is there was no rambling and I I learned a ton and yeah, I think I think I mean you can just feel it, like I was saying earlier, like it feels like we're crescendoing to some some event soon and it will be interesting to observe if something happens between July fifteenth and july twenty fifth and then

Erin Redwing [1:40:27] Ha ha ha ha.

Marty Bent [1:40:51] Another event happens a month later during the eclipses or shortly thereafter.

Erin Redwing [1:40:54] Yeah, we can check in, you know, in the fall when everything slowed down and we're like, where are the exciting events? We can check in and review and then actually it's it's always good to do year ahead. So like looking ahead at twenty twenty seven, like we can we can check back in and figure out where we landed based on my predictions for twenty twenty six and then like where things are headed.

Marty Bent [1:41:13] Well, let's plan on doing that this fall then.

Erin Redwing [1:41:15] Cool. Yeah, thanks so much for having me, Marty. This is amazing. It's always good to be able to go on a podcast and like, you know, just do my deranged ideas and not have someone like look at me like you say that 'cause you're also deranged though, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kindred spirit, kindred spirit. Cool.

Marty Bent [1:41:24] It's not arranged. It's not arranged. It's true. It's true. It's not strange to me. All right, we're gonna sign off here, but hold up 'cause I need to give you some dates to check for me. Peace and love, freaks. Take it.

Erin Redwing [1:41:42] Okay.
