Issue #450: Read this

If you haven't done so already, I highly suggest you freaks peep this piece from the BitMex research team that dives into the Lightning Network, how routing happens within it, and the economics of routing fees. An illuminating read that will help you realize how hard it is to be a successful routing node on the Lightning Network in its current form.

At the moment, being a good liquidity provider and profitable routing node is a very manual process that is not a very friendly user experience if you are not very technical. With that being said, BitMex shows that if you are willing to put in the work it can be a profitable endeavor worth putting some effort into. As the LN scales and more liquidity pours into channels, investors and hobbyists alike have a unique opportunity to reap material gains by helping to facilitate the sloshing of that liquidity within the network.

Hopefully over time as the LN matures these processes will become much easier and more automated (is this possible?), making the onboarding process onto Bitcoin's second layer more seamless, causing an explosion in node count and liquidity even more pronounced than what we have experienced over the last year.

Pay attention to Turkey

Something funky is afoot in the currency markets. Turkey's Prime Minister is learning a harsh, real-time lesson in how markets react when you make it almost impossible for investors to sell your currency.

No one man should have all that power.

Final thought...

Vibes are rising.
